This document is not legal advice. Additional policies and laws may apply beyond those listed here. For legal guidance, consult your legal advisor based on the nature of your messaging campaigns.

VoiceNEXT is committed to delivering high-quality services while minimizing spam, phishing, and fraudulent messages. We are a campaignregistry.com participating Company. As Such the following policies govern our SMS/MMS solutions, whether sent via the VoiceNEXT App (TextNEXT), third-party providers, or the API’s. VoiceNEXT SMS comes in 3 varieties; Communicator Text, TextNEXT or API Text as well as 10DLC, short code and Toll Free.

Business SMS Service For Communicator or TextNEXT

Business SMS must align with VoiceNEXT’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. Most businesses will fall within Communicator TEXT or TextNEXT

Guidelines:

  • Limit sending to 5000 messages per number per month for communicator Text and TextNEXT for over 5000 messages per month. Businesses can use TextNEXT for lower volumes too.
  • Complete TCR registration prior to sending messages.
  • Obtain written consent for marketing, promotional, or informational messages before sending.
  • Never use purchased or third-party generated lead lists.
  • Include clear opt-out instructions in all informational or promotional messages.
  • Refrain from using link shorteners or non-branded domains in embedded links.

If your messaging volume exceeds these limits, VoiceNEXT offers Automated Messaging API access for business with large volumes of Texts.

Automated Messaging (TextNEXT) and API Access

Automated SMS can be sent using TextNEXT, third-party integrations, or VoiceNEXT SMS APIs. All automated messages must:

  • Originate from numbers registered under a TCR “Automated” campaign
  • Have express, logged consent from recipients per CTIA guidelines.
  • Include opt-out language (e.g., “Reply STOP to end”) and honor all opt-out requests.
  • Require prior written consent for promotional messages.

Opt-in/User Consent

Before sending SMS messages, obtain explicit consent from recipients. Implied consent is insufficient unless replying to an initial message. Purchased lists or pre-opted in contacts are prohibited. Consent must be specific to the campaign or message type.

Recommended methods to obtain consent include:

  • A clearly outlined web form.
  • An opt-in SMS from the recipient’s number.

Double opt-in processes are strongly encouraged. Logging of all opt-ins and opt-outs should be kept as The Mobile carriers may request proof of user consent.

Opt-out Requirements

Include clear opt-out instructions in all messages, and honor commands like “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” as per CTIA guidelines. When not using TextNEXT, YOU are responsible for managing and tracking opt-outs
